Terms of service
Effective date: October 2026
These terms govern your use of phillips-daughter.com and your purchases from Phillip's Daughter. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
Orders and payment
All prices are in US dollars. An order is accepted when we confirm it by email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item cannot be made as described, and will refund you in full if we do. You agree to provide accurate billing and shipping information. Custom work requires a deposit of 50% to begin, with the balance due before shipping.
All sales final
Because each piece is made to order, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or give refunds or exchanges. See our Refund and Returns Policy and Shipping Policy, which are part of these terms.
Custom work
For custom pieces, we will confirm dimensions, materials and finish with you before building. Once you approve the design and work begins, changes may not be possible or may cost extra and affect the timeline. You are responsible for checking that a piece will fit your space and doorways.
Handmade nature of our products
Our furniture is handmade from natural materials. Variation in grain, color, texture and finish is expected and is not a defect. Photos on the site are representative; your piece will be unique.
Care and use
Furniture should be used as intended and cared for as described in any care instructions we provide. We are not responsible for damage from misuse, overloading, water, heat, sunlight, humidity changes or normal wear and tear.
Intellectual property
All designs, photographs, text and other content on this site belong to Phillip's Daughter and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them, or build copies of our designs, without our written permission. We may photograph your finished piece for our portfolio and marketing unless you tell us otherwise.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and our products are provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Phillip's Daughter is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the order at issue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Montgomery County, PA, and you agree to that venue.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Changes apply to orders placed after the effective date shown above.
